Alabama Public Library Service (APLS) has expanded the grade levels of its Live Homework Help service to include kindergarten through third grade plus "Adult Learners." Now students from five to eighty-five can connect  to a tutor for one-to-one help simply by going to http://www.homeworkalabama.org/. Tutors for the program are retired professors or graduate students pursuing a doctorate degree. The online class itself has not changed, with the exception of the login drop down.

The Adult Learner selection will support those earning their GED, taking adult education courses, seeking grammar help with their resume' or a work-related project and more.  Subjects include: English, English Writing center, Algebra, AlgebraII, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science,  Physics, & Social Studies. This Fall the "Writing Center" will replace the former subject selection Essay Writing.

Tutors will continue to assist students with long and short writing assignments from essays, to expository writing, to term papers, and much more. The program will continue with one tutor to one student in only one session.
